After the match, the ring filled up with Kevin Owens, “The Apex Predator” Randy Orton, WWE Intercontinental Champion: Sami Zayn, Cody’s mother and father-in-law, his wife Brandi Rhodes, his sister Teil Rhodes, among other family members. During the celebration, he gave his mother the championship and said he wouldn’t have returned to the WWE had it not been for Bruce Pritchard and WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque. He asked for both of them to come to the ring. They both came to the ring, talked to him off the microphone and gave him a hug. The new champion then exited the ring, gave Michael Cole a hug and the two talked privately. He then shook the hands of Corey Graves, Pat McAfee and numerous cameraman before slapping hands with members of the WWE Universe.
