Welcome to the live recap of WWE Money In The Bank, exclusively here on WU Online!

After pyrotechnics blast through the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, Michael Cole informs us that we are sold out with 19,858 members of the WWE Universe!

MATCH #1: MEN’S WWE MONEY IN THE BANK LADDER MATCH – “MAIN EVENT” JEY USO V/S “THE MEGASTAR” LA KNIGHT V/S “THE SCOTTISH WARRIOR” DREW MCINTYRE V/S ANDRADE (WWE SPEED CHAMPION) V/S CARMELO HAYES V/S CHAD GABLE
Our first match tonight is the Men’s WWE Money In The Bank Ladder Match. Our first competitor to make his way through the WWE Universe is “MAIN EVENT” JEY USO! Cole tells us that Uso’s family buried his uncle and the father of Roman Reigns – Sika – was buried earlier today. The next competitor to make his way to the to squared circle is the current WWE SPEED CHAMPION – ANDRADE! The third competitor to make his way to the ring is “THE MEGASTAR” LA KNIGHT! WOW! On his way to the ring, Knight walked under the ladder at ringside. The next man to make his way to the ring is CHAD GABLE! The fifth competitor to make his way to the ring is CARMELO HAYES! It’s now time for the final competitor for this match. Making his way to the squared circle is “THE SCOTTISH WARRIOR” DREW MCINTYRE! The bell rings to officially begin the Men’s Money In The Bank Ladder Match. There is no disqualification, no count-out, no pinfalls, and no submissions in this match. The ONLY way to win this match is to place a ladder in the middle of the ring, climb it and grab the Money In The Bank briefcase. The winner of the match will have one calendar year to cash it in and attempt to win a WWE championship. My prediction for this match is for McIntyre to capture the briefcase. After a VERY physical match, it concludes with McIntyre grabbing the briefcase to become Mr. Money In The Bank! Congratulations to Drew!
WINNER: AND NEW MR. MONEY IN THE BANK – “THE SCOTTISH WARRIOR” DREW MCINTYRE, VIA RETRIEVAL

Up next is the WWE Intercontinental Championship Match. A video package showing the history between the WWE Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn and Bron Breakker airs.

MATCH #2: WWE INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH – SAMI ZAYN (WWE INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPION) V/S BRON BREAKKER
It’s now time for the WWE Intercontinental Championship Match! The first competitor to make his way to the ring is the challenger – BRON BREAKKER! Making his way to the ring next is the WWE INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPION – SAMI ZAYN! The bell rings to officially begin this match for the IC Title! My prediction for this match is Bron Breakker wins the championship. It appears Breakker might have injured his knee when it collided with the announce table. The match ends when Sami delivers the Helluva Kick before pinning him to retain the championship.
WINNER: AND STILL WWE INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPION – SAMI ZAYN, VIA PINFALL

Back in the arena, the Host of Money In The Bank, Trish Stratus comes out to the stage. She introduces JOHN CENA who runs to the ring wearing gear that says “The Last Time Is Now”. Why is he here? Is he going to retire?! He announces his retirement from the WWE! He says he’ll be at RAW when it goes to Netflix. He announces that Royal Rumble, Elimination Chamber, and WrestleMania XLI will be his last events. He tells us he’ll take any and all questions at the press conference after tonight’s event. He thanks the WWE Universe but they begin to chant “Thank you Cena!”. Cena states that he wants all of the fans watching, whether they love him or hate him to come out next year to his farewell tour because memories and special moments will be made. He closes the segment by stating that, “The final time is now!”

Backstage, Damian Priest tells The Judgment Day that no matter what happens they are to stay away from the match. Finn Bálor appears to be upset and says, “Whatever you want boss.”

The World Heavyweight Championship Match is coming up next. A video package showing the history between World Heavyweight Champion “El Campeon” Damian Priest and Seth “Freakin” Rollins airs.

MATCH #3: WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH (IF DAMIAN PRIEST WINS, SETH ROLLINS WILL NEVER CHALLENGE FOR THE TITLE AGAIN AS LONG AS PRIEST IS CHAMPION; IF ROLLINS WINS, PRIEST MUST LEAVE THE JUDGMENT DAY.) – “EL CAMPEON” DAMIAN PRIEST (WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION) V/S SETH “FREAKIN” ROLLINS
It’s now time for our next match and it’s for the World Heavyweight Championship! If the champion wins, the challenger can never challenge for the title as long as Priest holds it. If the challenger wins, Priest must leave The Judgment Day. Making his way to the ring first is the challenger SETH “FREAKIN” ROLLINS! Next, making his way to the ring is the current WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION “EL CAMPEON” DAMIAN PRIEST! After Samantha Irvin introduces both competitors, the bell rings to officially begin this match. My prediction for this match is Seth Rollins to win the title…but I do want Priest to keep it. Both men keep looking towards the locking room to make sure Drew McIntyre isn’t coming to the ring. Rollins keeps yelling at Priest to stand up and fight him. Close call after close call for both individuals. At one point Seth covers Priest and the referee counts to three but says it’s just two. Then Drew McIntyre’s music begins to play. He cashes in the Money In The Bank Briefcase and it is now a Triple-Threat Match. Suddenly, CM Punk runs into the ring and attacks McIntyre. The match ends with Priest covering McIntyre. After the match, Priest gives Punk a dirty look before leaving the ring. Then Rollins walks over towards the commentator’s table but Corey Graves attempts to keep him at bay by telling him it’s not the time. No body is happy about this except for Punk – who has ONCE AGAIN screwed McIntyre of the championship!
WINNER: AND STILL WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION – “EL CAMPEON” DAMIAN PRIEST, VIA PINFALL

It’s now official, at WWE SummerSlam’24, World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest will go one-on-one against “The Ring General” Gunther for the title. A video package about “The Ring General” Gunther airs.

The Women’s Money In The Bank Ladder Match is next. A Money In The Bank Ladder Match – By The Numbers video package airs.

MATCH #4: WOMEN’S MONEY IN THE BANK LADDER MATCH – “THE GENIUS OF THE SKY” IYO SKY V/S CHELSEA GREEN V/S LYRA VALKYRIA V/S NAOMI V/S TIFFANY STRATTON V/S ZOEY STARK
It’s now time for the Women’s Money In the Bank Ladder Match! Making her way to the ring first is NAOMI! The next participant to make her way to the ring is ZOEY STARK! The next woman to make her way to the ring is LYRA VALKYRIA! Making her way to the squared circle next is TIFFANY STRATTON! The next female competitor to make her way to the ring is CHELSEA GREEN! And the final competitor to make her way to the ring is “THE GENIUS OF THE SKY” IYO SKY! The bell rings to officially begin the Women’s Money In The Bank Ladder Match. My prediction is Chelsea Green! I said the Men’s Money In The Bank Ladder Match was physical but the women were so much more violent and in the end, Tiffany Stratton captured the briefcase after pushing Chelsea Green off the ladder and through the tables that she and Green set up on the ringside floor earlier in the match. Congratulations “Ms. Money In The Bank” Tiffany Stratton!
WINNER: AND NEW MS. MONEY IN THE BANK – TIFFANY STRATTON

Our main event, the Six-Man Tag Team Match is next! A video package showing the history between these two teams airs.

Backstage, Jackie Redmond attempts to interview Trish Stratus but is interrupted by “Ms. Money In The Bank” Tiffany Stratton who insults Trish before walking away.

MAIN EVENT: SIX-MAN TAG TEAM MATCH – “THE AMERICAN NIGHTMARE” CODY RHODES (UNDISPUTED WWE CHAMPION) & R-KO (“THE VIPER” RANDY ORTON & KEVIN OWENS) V/S THE BLOODLINE (“THE TRIBAL CHIEF” SOLO SIKOA, “RIGHT HAND MAN” TAMA TONGA, & JACOB FATU) [W/TONGA LOA]
It’s now time for the MAIN EVENT! This is a Six-Man Tag Team Match. Making their way to the ring first is THE BLOODLINE – “THE HEAD OF THE TABLE” SOLO SIKOA, “RIGHT HAND MAN” TAMA TONGA & JACOB FATU! They’re accompanied to the ring by TONGA LOA! It’s time for their opponents. Making his way to the ring first is KEVIN OWENS! WU Online’s prayers are with his mother and his family as she’s currently in the hospital in Quebec. Making his way to the ring next is “THE VIPER” RANDY ORTON! It’s now time for the entrance of their opponent. Making his way to the ring is the UNDISPUTED WWE CHAMPION “THE AMERICAN NIGHTMARE” CODY RHODES! Chants of “We want Roman!” begin to fill the Scotiabank Arena. The bell rings to officially begin this Six-Man Tag Team Match. It will be Cody and Solo beginning the main event first for their respective tag teams…until Solo walks back to his corner and tags in Tama. So now it will be Cody and Tama beginning the match first for their respective tag teams. My prediction for this match is The Bloodline. During the match, WWE referee Jason Ayers was knocked out and after a brief brawl erupts, the match ends when Solo pinning Cody, after delivering a Samoan Spike. The Bloodline is victorious!
WINNERS: THE BLOODLINE, VIA PINFALL

WWE Money In The Bank 2024 comes to a close with a look at the victorious Bloodline standing in the isle while staring at the losing team of Rhodes, Orton, and Owens.

MICHAEL’S THOUGHTS:
My personal opinion of this premium live event is that it was a very entertaining show. I didn’t really like CM Punk costing Drew McIntyre the World Heavyweight Championship…AGAIN, but I can’t wait until McIntyre FINALLY gets his revenge. Punk’s actions tonight not only continued to anger The Scottish Warrior, but also angered Seth “Freakin” Rollins and the World Heavyweight Champion “El Campeon” Damian Priest. I wouldn’t want to be “The Best in the World” CM Punk.

I really wasn’t thinking Tiffany Stratton would become Ms. Money In The Bank but I am interested in seeing whether or not she’ll be successful whenever she cashes in the briefcase.

The main event was just total chaos tonight but it was an entertaining chaos. I had a feeling The Bloodline would be victorious as I think SummerSlam will feature an Undisputed WWE Championship Match between “The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes against “The Tribal Chief” Solo Sikoa. With tonight’s victory, I think Solo’s Bloodline took a solid step in becoming a dominant force on SmackDown.

Thanks for reading WU Online’s live recap of WWE Money In The Bank 2024. I’ll be back tomorrow for NXT Heatwave!
