MATCH #1: ULTIMATE X MATCH (WINNER RECEIVES A FUTURE IMPACT X DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH!) – JAKE SOMETHING v/s “SPEEDBALL” MIKE BAILEY v/s “THE JET” KEVIN KNIGHT v/s “THE OCTOPUS” JONATHAN GRESHAM v/s “THE CELESTIAL” ALAN ANGELS v/s “TIME-SPLITTER” KUSHIDA
It’s time for the first match at IMPACT! Wrestling Slammiversary 2023! It is an ULTIMATE X MATCH and it’s scheduled for one fall. In this match there are no pinfalls, no submissions, no count-outs and no disqualifications. To win this match, a competitor must climb one of the steel towers, climb the cable to the middle of the ring, retrieve the “X” hanging above the ring and drop to his feet. The winner of this match will receive a future shot at the IMPACT X Division Championship. It’s time for the entrance and introduction of our first competitor. Making his way to the ring – “TIME-SPLITTER” KUSHIDA! It’s time for the entrance and introduction of the next participant. Making his way to the ring – “THE CELESTIAL” ALAN ANGELS! It’s time for the entrance and introduction of our next competitor. Making his way to the ring – “THE OCTOPUS” JONATHAN GRESHAM! It’s time for the entrance and introduction of our next participant. Making his way to the squared circle – “THE JET” KEVIN KNIGHT! It’s time for the entrance and introduction of the final competitor. Making his way to the ring – “SPEEDBALL” MIKE BAILEY! Apparently Bailey is NOT the final competitor. Making his way to the squared circle next – JAKE SOMETHING! The bell rings to officially begin this Ultimate X Match, where the winner receives a future IMPACT X Division Championship Match, between Jake Something against “Speedball” Mike Bailey against “The Jet” Kevin Knight against “The Octopus” Jonathan Gresham against “The Celestial” Alan Angels against “Time-Splitter” KUSHIDA. This match ends when KUSHIDA climbs the steel tower, crawls on the cable to the middle of the ring, retrieves the “X” hanging above the ring, and drops to his feet. Due to this victory, “Time-Splitter” KUSHIDA will now receive a shot at the IMPACT X Division Championship in the future.
THE WINNER: “TIME-SPLITTER” KUSHIDA…via retrieving the “X”

King says he just beat up, danced and stripped Joe Hendry of the IMPACT Digital Media Championship. He states that he is the only champion that matters and the IMPACT Digital Media Championship is the only championship that matters.

Making their way to the ring first are the challengers – KILLER KELLY & MASHA SLAMOVICH! It’s now time for the entrance and introduction of their opponents. Making their way to the ring are the IMPACT KNOCKOUTS WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS – THE COVEN! The Coven is a tag team comprised of KILYNN KING & “THE WILDE WITCH” TAYLOR WILDE! The bell rings to officially begin this IMPACT Knockouts World Tag Team Championship Match between the IMPACT Knockouts World Tag Team Champions: The Coven against Killer Kelly & Masha Slamovich. It appears it will be Kelly and Wilde beginning this match first for their respective tag teams. This match ends when…well, I’m not sure because the camera was focused on Kelly fighting with King on the outside of the ring. What I do know is that Masha pinned Wilde to win the match and capture the IMPACT Knockouts World Tag Team Championship for her team.

Our next match is a Tag Team Match that was originally scheduled to be IMPACT! Wrestling President: Scott D’Amore & “The French-Canadian Frankenstein” PCO against Steve Maclin & “The Baddest of the Bad” Bully Ray. But PCO was put out of action after he was set on fire by Maclin & Bully a few weeks ago on IMPACT! Wrestling. Then Maclin himself was put on the injured reserve list due to an injury he suffered on the IMPACT! Wrestling Down Under 2023 Tour. So here we are, it’s IMPACT! Wrestling Slammiversary 2023 and it’s time for a tag team match with two substitutions. Making his way to the squared circle first is the SPECIAL GUEST ENFORCER – DARREN MCCARTY! I don’t know anything about McCarty except IMPACT! WRESTLING RING ANNOUNCER: DAVID PENZER introduced him as a NHL Legend. So there you go. It’s now time for the entrance and introduction of the first team. Making his way to the ring first – DEANER! Deaner is representing THE DESIGN and is accompanied to the ring by KON! It’s time for the entrance and introduction of his tag team partner. Making his way to the ring – “THE BADDEST OF THE BAD” BULLY RAY! It’s now time for the entrance and introduction of their opponents. Making his way to the ring first – IMPACT! WRESTLING PRESIDENT: SCOTT D’AMORE! Tom Hannifan informs us that Scott D’Amore’s mother is sitting at in the front row. It’s now time for the entrance and introduction of his tag team partner. Making his way to the squared circle – ERIC YOUNG! TEAM CANADA HAS REUNITED AT SLAMMIVERSARY 2023! The bell rings to officially begin this Tag Team Match with Darren McCarty as the Special Guest Enforcer between Team Canada against Deaner & “The Baddest of the Bad” Bully Ray, with Kon in their corner. It appears Young and Bully will begin this match first for their respective tag teams. During the match, the crowd begins to sing the Canadian National Anthem to inspire D’Amore. Bully kicks the IMPACT! Wrestling President in the crotch and then repeatedly tells the referee to disqualify him. He then shoves the referee who takes his referee shirt off and returns to the locker room. The shirt just happens to be the same size that Darren McCarty wears and McCarty puts the shirt on so apparently McCarty is now the official referee for the match. At one point Kon pulls McCarty out of the ring and enters the ring himself. A1 runs into the ring and spears Kon out of it. McCarty nails Bully with a Stone Cold Stunner and helps D’Amore put Bully through a table. The match ends when Young nails Deaner with a flying elbow drop before pinning him to win the match for him and his teammate.
THE WINNERS: TEAM CANADA…via pinfall
After the match, A1 celebrates with his former Team Canada stablemates. D’Amore places the Canadian flag on top of Bully Ray before exiting the ring and hugging his mother at ringside.
Backstage, “The National Treasure” Nick Aldis states tonight is IMPACT World Champion: Alex Shelly’s night to prove if he deserves to be the champion. Aldis adds that he (Aldis) is a “closer”. He doesn’t need 3 seconds, just 1 mistake from Shelly. He then calls Shelly a “transitional” champion.

MATCH #4: IMPACT X DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH – “SUPERSTAR” CHRIS SABIN (IMPACT X DIVISION CHAMPION) v/s “BAD CHILD” LIO RUSH
Our next match is scheduled for one fall and it is for the IMPACT X DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIP! Making his way to the ring is the challenger – “BAD CHILD” LIO RUSH! It’s now time for the entrance and introduction of his opponent and champion. Making his way to the ring – IMPACT X DIVISION CHAMPION: “SUPERSTAR” CHRIS SABIN! Before the bell can ring to begin the match, Rush attacks Sabin. Sabin is knocked onto the ramp the wrestlers walk down to get to the ring and the referee walks over to check on him. The referee calls for the doctor who says Sabin is injured and can’t compete. The referee then says he has to talk to Sabin before he can call off the match. He asks Sabin if he can wrestle or if he should call the match off. Sabin stands up and pushes the doctor away before struggling to get to the ring. The bell rings to officially begin this IMPACT X Division Championship Match between IMPACT X Division Champion: “Superstar” Chris Sabin against “Bad Child” Lio Rush. The match ends when Rush nails Sabin with The Final Hour before obtaining the three count to win the match and capture the IMPACT X Division Championship.

We see Trinity preparing for her shot at the IMPACT Knockouts World Championship later tonight. We then see the IMPACT Knockouts World Champion: “The Virtuosa” Deonna Purrazzo preparing to defend the IMPACT Knockouts World Championship later tonight.

MATCH #6: “HEAVY METAL REBEL” FRANKIE KAZARIAN [with: TRACI BROOKS] v/s EDDIE EDWARDS [with: ALISHA EDWARDS]
It’s time for our next Singles Match and it’s scheduled for one fall. Making his way to the ring first – EDDIE EDWARDS! Eddie Edwards is accompanied to the ring by his wife, ALISHA EDWARDS! It’s time for the entrance and introduction of his opponent. Making his way to the ring – “HEAVY METAL REBEL” FRANKIE KAZARIAN! Frankie Kazarian is accompanied to the ring by his wife and one of the original IMPACT! Wrestling Knockouts, TRACI BROOKS! Hannifan informs us that in 2005, Traci managed Kazarian in Total Nonstop Action (TNA). They were then married in 2010 and this is the first time Traci has accompanied Kazarian to the ring since 2005. The bell rings to officially begin this match between “Heavy Metal Rebel” Frankie Kazarian, with Traci Brooks in his corner, against Eddie Edwards, with Alisha Edwards in his corner. Hannifan tells us that Kazarian and Edwards were both trained by WWE Hall of Famer: Killer Kowalski and Windsor, Ontario, Canada is the birthplace of Kowalski. During the match a ticker runs at the bottom of the screen that reminds us that IMPACT! Wrestling returns to Chicago, Illinois on July 28 and 29, 2023 for 2 days of IMPACT! Wrestling TV Tapings at the Cicero Stadium. Then IMPACT! Wrestling and NJPW will present Multiverse United 2: For Whom The Bell Tolls on August 20, 2023 at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. On August 27, 2023, IMPACT! Wrestling Emergence takes place at the Rebel Entertainment Complex in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The next night at the same location will be a night of IMPACT! Wrestling TV Tapings. On September 8th, IMPACT! Wrestling Victory Road’23 takes place at the Westchester County Center in White Plains, New York with TV Tapings taking place the following night – including the taping of the 1000th episode of IMPACT! Wrestling! On September 22nd and 23rd, IMPACT! Wrestling will be filming two nights of TV Tapings at Graceland Live in Memphis, Tennessee. And then on October 21st, IMPACT! Wrestling Bound For Glory 2023 will air live from the Cicero Stadium in Chicago, Illinois with a night of TV Tapings the following evening. During the match, Hannifan tells us that this is Kazarian’s seventh appearance at Slammiversary. At one point, the referee is knocked down and Alisha enters the ring with a kendo stick. Traci enters the ring and prevents Alisha from doing any damage. Then Kazarian applies the Chicken Wing on Edwards forces Edwards to tap but the referee doesn’t see it. Edwards then hits Kazarian with the kendo stick followed up with a Boston Knee Party before obtaining the three count.

Once both Knockouts are in the ring, David Penzer makes the introductions for both women. The bell rings to officially begin this IMPACT Knockouts World Championship Match between IMPACT Knockouts World Champion: “The Virtuosa” Deonna Purrazzo against Trinity. This match ends when Trinity applies The Star Truck on Purrazzo and the champion taps out to give Trinity her first piece of gold in IMPACT! Wrestling.

At the broadcasters’ table, Tom Hannifan and “The Drama King” Matthew Rehwoldt discuss the upcoming IMPACT! Wrestling event schedule. On August 20, 2023 at 8:00 P.M. Eastern at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, IMPACT! Wrestling and New Japan Pro-Wrestling present Multiverse United 2: For Whom The Bell Tolls exclusively on FITE. They then announce the first match, which will be the IMPACT X Division Champion: “Bad Child” Lio Rush & Trey Miguel against “Speedball” Mike Bailey & “The Time Bomb” Hiromu Takahashi. Then on August 27, 2023 at 8:00 P.M. Eastern at the Rebel Entertainment Complex in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, IMPACT! Wrestling presents Emergence 2023 on IMPACT! Plus, FITE and IMPACT! Wrestling Ultimate Insiders on YouTube. They also announced the first wrestler who will be apart of Emergence will be current IWGP World Heavyweight Champion: Sanada!

It’s now time for the entrance and introduction of the champion. Making his way to the ring – IMPACT WORLD CHAMPION: ALEX SHELLEY! Once both competitors are in the squared circle, David Penzer makes the introductions. While IMPACT World Champion: Alex Shelley continues to celebrate his victory, “The Walking Weapon” Josh Alexander returns to IMPACT! Wrestling after his injury and makes his way to the squared circle. After looking at Shelley for a several seconds, Alexander walks over and asks for a microphone. He then simply says “I’m back!”.
IMPACT! Wrestling Slammiversary 2023 ends with Shelley and Alexander talking face-to-face.
